COVID-19 UPDATE FEB 2021

COVID-19 Update 1st February 2021
The Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council wishes to advise of alternate arrangements for normal operations at either the Stanley Road Waste Management Facility or the Banksia Road Organics Processing Facility due to restrictions of COVID-19.
BHRC has the capacity to maintain services on a skeleton staff and do not anticipate any major interruptions. If the hours of operation need to alter, this will be communicated as soon as practicable.
All contractors will be notified of any changes that may occur.
Commercial Waste Disposal – Stanley Road Waste Management Facility
Commercial contractors to site will be required to remain in their vehicles at all times including weighbridge operations and ticketing, Two-Way radio communication will be used for communication during this time. BHRC will process transactions while the driver remains in the vehicle and ticketing will be either handed over to the driver or emailed directly to a designated email address.
Commercial contractors to site therefore will not be greatly affected by any interruption to services.
Commercial Waste Disposal – Banksia Road Organics Processing Facility
Contractors to the Organics Facility are still required to process their own ticketing as normal. Hygiene practices at this facility have been upgraded to include additional cleaning rosters. Hand soap is provided and anyone to site is encouraged to use this each time.
Transfer Station
Transfer Station clients may be required to dispose of waste without assistance from BHRC staff.
Initial contact at the weighbridge office will be via the window where any changes to the facility will be communicated.
Container Deposit Scheme Area will be closed Monday to Friday this week.
Our Trash and Treasure shop will also stay closed during this time.
This will be reviewed on a daily basis and any changes that are required will be communicated via email or via the website http://www.bhrc.wa.gov.au
