Disability Access and Inclusion Survey

We are seeking feedback to assist in the development of a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) and would like to hear from people living with a disability about access and inclusion to our site so that we can make better decisions for all persons wishing to use our facility.

Public Notice – Final Standing Orders Local Law 2017

Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council Standing Orders Local Law 2017

In accordance with s3.12(6) of the Local Government Act 1995 the Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council gives notice that on Wednesday 10 May 2017 the Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council Standing Orders Local Law 2017 was published in the WA Government Gazette:

Title:                The Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council Standing Orders Local Law 2017

Purpose:         This local law provides rules which apply to the conduct of meetings of the Council and its committees and all meetings are to be conducted in accordance with the Act, the Regulations and this local law.

The effect of this local law is to manage:

  • Better decision-making by the Council;
  • Orderly and efficient conduct of meeting dealing with Council business;
  • Greater community participation and understanding of the business of the Council; and
  • More open and accountable local government.

In accordance with s3.14(1) of the Local Government Act 1995, the Standing Orders Local Law 2017 will come into operation on the 14th day after the day of publication in the WA Government Gazette which will commence on Wednesday 24 May 2017. A copy of the new law may be inspected at or obtained from the Council Administration Office Lot 5 Carmody Place, Next to City of Bunbury Visitor Centre, Bunbury WA 6230 between the hours of 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday; or by downloading and viewing the document HERE: Standing Orders Local Law 2017

Organic Certification for BHRC Compost!

In early 2017 Bunbury Harvey Regional Council successfully achieved Organic Certification of the compost produced at the Banksia Road Compost Facility. This is a huge achievement for BHRC, its staff and the general public who have embraced the use of their third organics bin. Well done to all!

Proposed Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council Standing Orders Local Law 2017

The Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council has resolved to advertise its intention to make the Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council Standing Orders Local Law 2017.

The purpose and affect of this local law are:
