Waste Education Coordinator
Fixed Term – Part time, 64 hours per fortnight (eight day fortnight)
Three and half (3.5) year term contract

Do you have an enthusiasm for community engagement and sustainability education? We are looking for an experienced individual to develop and implement and manage waste education and community engagement programs across the Greater Bunbury Region. The position will have you working closely with schools, local government officers, waste industry stakeholders, community groups, and the general public on raising awareness about issues such as waste minimisation, recycling, graffiti and litter prevention. Key responsibilities will include project planning and management, applying for grants, supervision of waste education officer(s) and reporting to project stakeholders.
You will have proven self-management skills, experience in implementation of community behaviour change programs and a demonstrated understanding of the principles of adult learning and community development. A passion and understanding of contemporary waste management and sustainability issues and sound knowledge of the WA school curriculum will be highly regarded.
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council Employees 2016 Enterprise Agreement and the Local Government Industry Award 2010, with a Level 8.1 salary of $66,885 gross per annum and up to 9.5% superannuation.
